Once upon a time when I owned a newspaper...

I used to own the Glasford Gazette, where for five years I solely handled the complete weekly layout of every 8- to 12-page issue from start to finish. Working in the full Adobe Creative Suite—Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop—I designed the pages, created many of the marketing graphics used by local advertisers, and frequently wrote editorial, news, and lifestyle articles, all while meeting the unyielding hard-stop deadline required by the printing press each week.
