Meet Jessica

From Our Kitchen Table to Yours

Hi—I'm Jessica, a wife, mom, and lifelong learner who believes life is best lived with a little grace, a little grit, lots of bacon and loud music. There’s always a song accompanying the story of my life in my heart—crazy, chaotic, and varying day to day from the soft piano concertos of the Romantic era, to the down-home roots of the country I grew up on, to the screaming anguish of Falling in Reverse and everything in between. As the saying goes, “music washes away from the heart the dust of everyday life.” Lord knows mine needs a power-wash most days.

I’m on a journey—diving into the depths of my faith, exploring how the Bible becomes daily living, and discovering how food, home, and our stories knit together into something meaningful. Most days I’m repeating the phrase, “Lord Jesus, have mercy on me, a sinner,” and asking myself, “What would Jordan Peterson do?” (Spoiler: he’d probably clean his room. I have not cleaned my room.)

I live with celiac disease (but still love donuts from a distance and occasionally mourn them like a lost relative), I’m learning slowly how to shape a home that reflects what I believe, and I’m not afraid to admit the chaos shows up more often than the Pinterest-perfect moment. My blog is where I share reflections on faith, clean(er) eating in a processed world, and the everyday work of finding beauty in the ordinary—usually after I’ve tripped over it three times.

Come around, bring your questions and your quirks, and let’s walk this little stretch of the journey together—laughing, learning, growing, and occasionally eating chips & salsa for dinner because most cereal is no longer an option.

Keeping it real. Even the photographs.
